    The purpose of the BLACKCATS Afterschool Program is to provide quality afterschool care for Goreville CUSD #1 children in K-5th grade. We will provide snacks and activities for the children. There will be homework time available; however this is not designed as an individualized tutoring program.

     

     

    Daily Hours

    3:00 – 5:00 pm

     

    Early Dismissal Hours

    2:20 – 5:00 pm

     

     

    Rates

    There will be an annual registration fee of $10.00 per child. Program rates will be charged according to the following schedule:

     

    Regular Schedule:

    3:00-4:00 = $3.00

    4:01-5:00 = $3.00

    3:00-5:00 = $6.00

     

    Early Dismissal:

    2:20-3:00 = $2.00

    3:01-4:00 = $3.00

    4:01-5:00 = $3.00

    2:20-5:00 = $8.00

               

    The Blackcats Afterschool Program will not be in session on 11:30 dismissal days, snow days, emergency days, or days that dismiss early due to an emergency situation (weather, power outage, etc…).

               

    There will be a $1.00 per minute/per child late fee past 5:00 p.m.

    THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED!

     

    Goals

    Our goal is to provide supervised after school care with adult-directed activities for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade.

    We will provide learning activities, homework help, technology usage, snacks, art projects, outdoor play and more.

    Daily Program

    The Blackcats Afterschool Program will be in session Monday – Friday from 3:00-5:00 p.m. on regular school days and 2:20-5:00 on early dismissal days. The program will not be in session on 11:30 dismissal days, holidays, snow days, or emergency dismissal days.

    Snacks will be provided so if your child has any allergies please let us know.

    Admission and Discharge

    Goreville CUSD #1 students in grades Kindergarten – 5th grade are eligible to attend. There will be a required yearly enrollment fee of $10 which is due when enrollment papers are submitted.  (Income eligible families - fees will be waived)

    Daily fees are due at the end of each week. Late fees will be requested when parents arrive to pick up their child.

    Students may be discharged from the program due to behavior problems, excessive late pick-ups and/or non-payment of fees.

    Arrivals and Departure

    Students staying for the afterschool program are expected to report to the designated area directly after dismissal time. If someone other than the parent or legal guardian is picking up a student, the supervisor MUST have their name and number listed on the approved contact/pick-up list. If a change in pick-up occurs, please notify the director in writing or by phone before 2:15 pm.

    Parents must come into the building and sign their child out each day. We will not send children out of the school on their own.
