GOREVILLE WINS INVITATIONAL TRACK MEET
The annual Goreville Invitational Track Meet was held on May 4 at the Goreville City Park. New Simpson Hill, Buncombe, Cypress, Dongola, and Goreville Schools all competed in the various events. Goreville took first place in both boys and girls events and first place overall. To see more pictures, click the picture above and it will take you directly to the Track web site.

JR. LADY BLACKCAT STATE TRACK/FIELD CHAMP!!!
The Goreville Jr. High Blackcat Track and Field Team made history this year with 19 members qualifying for the State Track Meet in Salem, IL! The girls track team received third place with Jr. Lady Blackcat Madison Cavins capturing the state shot-put event individual championship! The boys track team finished fifth at state.
Congratulations Jr. Cats and Jr. Lady Cats for a great season!!!

16 JR. BLACKCATS ARE STATE-BOUND!
The Jr. Blackcats Track Team competed in the IJHSAA Regional Track Meet in Herrin and a record 16 qualified for State! The IJHSAA State Track Meet will be held at Salem High School on May 12.

2013 JR. BLACKCATS TRACK REGIONAL CHAMPIONS!
The Jr. Blackcats Boys Track Team won the Illinois Junior High School Athletic Association (IJHSAA) Regional Track Meet and the Jr. Lady Cats took 2nd Place overall! The following student-athletes qualified for state: Paetin Arnold- 1600m; Shae Forby-400m, varsity relay, and 1600m relay; Schylar Messmer- 400 meter relay, varsity relay, and 1600 meter relay; Sarah McLain- 200m, 400 meter relay, varsity relay, and 1600 meter relay; Jasmine Luna-varsity relay; Katie Schuetz-400 meter relay and 1600 meter relay; Shayna Elms-400 meter relay; Alec Gold-Long Jump, Shot Put, 8th 100m, and Varsity Relay; Tanner Dunn-7th grade relay, varsity relay, and 1600 meter relay; Peyton Massey-7th grade relay, varsity relay, and 1600 relay; Braden Webb-7th grade relay and varsity relay; Logyn Frassato- 7th grade relay; Blaine Dunning- 1600 meter relay; and Anthony Davidson- 1600 meter relay.

2012 JR. BLACKCATS TAKE 4TH IN STATE!
The Jr. Blackcats Track Team, after competing in the IJHSAA Regional Track Meet in Herrin and sending a record 16 to State, placed 4th at the IJHSAA State Track Meet!

2015 TRACK PLACES IN STATE!
Congratulations to our Goreville Junior High School Boys and Girls Track Teams as they finished 9th and 7th in State out of 75 schools! Also, the Jr. Lady Cats Track Team won the 2015 SIJHSAA Regional Championship! Collectively, the Jr. Cats and Jr. Lady Cats won a school record 26 medals in the state competition.
We are proud of you!
